As a result of the current situation regarding Coronavirus we have suggested some activities that you may want to plan into your day.
We have added timings to these activities but these are only suggestions so please feel free to change this to suit each individual.
The children were sent home with their log ons for all the different apps and websites we use in school.
Any questions, please do ask.
Welcome to Miss Lynbeck's class page!
Here you can find out about our topics, useful links, important class information and up and coming dates.
P.E - P.E is on a Tuesday afternoon. Children must have a white top and either black shorts, tracksuit bottoms or a Skort. We will be starting with indoor P.E sessions this term so daps/shoes will be removed for P.E sessions.
Thursday - Every Thursday children will take part in PSE (Personal Development and Relationships) sessions. Please see the booklet (link in topic sub-page) for more information.
Snack - Children should be eating a healthy snack at break time. This can be brought in from home or children can buy this from the fruit trolley in school for 30p.
Daily mile - Children run their daily mile every day, trying to beat their personal best.
Behaviour - In school we follow the good to be green. We are all aiming to become platinum by staying green for a week. We will be collecting monster points for lots of different reasons including behaviour, being kind and being helpful! A good score will result in a really good treat as part of fun Friday! Plus we all aim to be 'Monster of the Week'!!
Important Dates for the Diary
This is our class timetable.
This year we are learning to work more independently. In our teaching and learning time we will get the opportunity to sit with our group and the teacher to complete our English/Maths/Topic work. When we are not with the teacher we will be working in our areas to complete independent jobs. These areas are:
Art Attack - Creative area
Digital Den - Computer/ IPad
Magical Math - Maths area
Let’s Investigate - Science area
Whizzy Writers - Reading and writing activities
Cymraeg - Welsh area
On a Thursday Afternoon children go to their spelling classes.
They will be sent home with spellings to have a go at. These spellings are linked to the patterns they have been learning that week.
Have a look at the green words below that show some of the spelling patterns we have been working hard on!
I have included below our 'RED words'. These words are words we have to learn so we are able to use them in our writing - these words cannot be sounded out!
There is also a list of High Frequency Words - These are the First 200 words children should know how to say and spell.
